There are a lot of ways to contact with a librarian. Here are some of your options:
Chat with a Librarian
On many Jacobs Library webpages you will find either the Chat button (which will tell you if chat is online or offline) or the Ask Us button, both will launch the chat feature in a new window. Chat will instantly connect you with a librarian at Jacobs Library. If chat is offline you will be given the option to email a question for librarians to review and respond to when chat next becomes available.
Call or Email the Library.
You can find our contact information, including our phone and text number and email addresses, on the library's homepage and on our library's contact page.
Schedule an Appointment with a Librarian.
For help with research you can schedule an appointment with a librarian for either one-on-one meetings or small group projects. You can meet with a librarian either in person at Jacobs Library on IVCC's main campus, by phone, or meet virtually using Zoom. You can find the form to request an appointment located on our Research Appointments page. Please allow 72 hours for a response. For help with writing a paper, citation styles and formatting, or tutoring, please contact the Writing Center.
